A Life Rooted in the Countryside
Married to a farmer and raising my family here in rural Dorset, the countryside living isn’t just a backdrop for my work; it’s the heartbeat of it. My practice is rooted in the Purbeck landscape, from the chalk downlands to the coastal meadows, informing every palette and texture I create.
A Philsophy of Longevity
I chose dried flowers not as a trend, but as a deliberate practice. Working with materials that have completed their natural cycle feels inherently right. While a fresh bouquet lasts a week, a dried flower installation can last up to a year or more! When you commission a piece from me – whether for a countryside wedding, a corporate space, or a private event – you are choosing beauty that won’t end up in a landfill next month.
Our Sustainable Commitment
Sustainability is the foundation of everything I do. I am proud to be 100% foam-free. Conventional floral foam is a single-use plastic that sheds microplastics into our waterways. Instead I rely on sustainable mechanics such as chicken wire, natural twine and reusable vessels.
To further reduce our environmental footprint, I source my materials from growers within Dorset and the surrounding counties, often growing from seed and drying the stems myself. This eliminates the heavy carbon cost of refrigerated international transport, ensuring every stem has a provenance I can stand behind.
Bespoke Installations
I am best known for large-scale installations that transform a space entirely such as:
- Grand arched entrances and ceremony backdrops
- Floral chandeliers and hanging ceiling installations
- Dramatic aisle meadows and pew dressings
- Canopies, beams and statement feature walls
Whether your vision is romantic and intimate or large in scale and ambition, every commission begins with a conversation. I work with a selective number of clients each year which means the work is always considered, and the process is never rushed.
Everyday Life
Life on a working farm is rarely entirely quiet, so you may occasionally hear the countryside in the background when we speak. I look forward to hearing about your project
